This week at Mahalo…

Veronica Belmont and the Mahalo Daily Team travelled to Austin, Texas, for the SXSW film, music and interactive festival! On Day 1, we covered the floor show and investigated Kyte, Socialthing and Bitstrip. On Day 2, we learned more about the comedic web show, The Guild. And on Day 3, we met the filmmakers who created, Second Skin, a documentary about MMORPG players.

Back at Mahalo HQ in sunny Santa Monica, the News Team covered the resignation of NY Governor, Eliot Spitzer, after he admitted to having a relationship with prostitute, Ashley Alexandra Dupre. Spitzer will be succeeded by Lt. Governor, David Paterson.

The Video Game Team stayed up all night following the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and built pages for Super Smash Bros Brawl Walkthroughs, Unlockable Characters, Unlockable Stages, and Cheat Codes. They also figured out how to unlock the character Snake and make him receive funny Codecs during gameplay. Oh, and did I mention that you can watch the Video Game Team play Super Smash Bros. Brawl live on Ustream.tv? Well you can!

Finally, the How To Team educated themselves on a wide variety of topics this week. They built pages about Getting into College, Potty Training Puppies, Freezing you Credit Reports, Drawing Manga, and Buying Land on the Moon!
