This week at Mahalo,

Everyone chipped in to build pages about the Best Evil Robots and Best Fake Brands that can be found throughout pop culture.

The Sports Team continued its live coverage of NCAA March Madness. On Saturday, they will be providing up-to-the-minute information on the East Regional Finals at 9:05 PM ET, and the West Regional Finals at 6:40 PM ET. Then, on Sunday, the team will be reporting on the South Regional Finals and Midwest Regional Finals (time yet to be determined). Also on Sunday, watch for live coverage of WrestleMania at 7 PM ET.

The Television Team covered the South Park episode entitled “Major Boobage,” in which Kenny becomes addictied to Cheesing. Our resident couch potatoes also watched the Finale of Celebrity Apprentice… Did you? Find out which lucky contestant got to hear the words, “You’re Hired!”

The Video Game Team downloaded the new World of Warcraft patch, and figured out how to get to Sunwell Isle and aid the Shattered Sun Offensive. They also built a walkthrough page for the PSP game, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and learned all about Materia Fusion.

Finally, the How To Team went green this week. They built informative pages about carpooling, fixing leaky faucets, and making yogurt.

This week at Mahalo…

The Sports Team began their live coverage of March Madness. They built out comprehensive pages for the NCAA Basketball Conference Championships and NCAA Bracket Predictions, and also liveblogged Selection Sunday.

The News Team covered the 7.2 Earthquake in the Xinjiang province of China, the controversy involving Barack Obama’s passport, and the ongoing developments in the Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal. On Tuesday, it was revealed that Ashley Alexandra Dupre (Spitzer’s call girl) appeared in a Girls Gone Wild video when she was only 17 years old.

The Holiday Team prepared for Easter by building pages on Good Friday, Easter Lillies, Chocolate Easter Eggs, Easter Cupcakes, and Peeps! They also built pages for Purim and Purim Cupcakes.

The Television Team followed the American Idol Top 10… On Tuesday, contestants sang a second round of Beatles songs, and on Wednesday, Amanda Overmyer was given the boot.

And the Video Game Team built walkthrough, cheats and review pages for the game, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. They also discovered unlock codes for the exclusive Best Buy Tar-21 gun and the Gamestop Comcast Map.

This week at Mahalo…

Veronica Belmont and the Mahalo Daily Team travelled to Austin, Texas, for the SXSW film, music and interactive festival! On Day 1, we covered the floor show and investigated Kyte, Socialthing and Bitstrip. On Day 2, we learned more about the comedic web show, The Guild. And on Day 3, we met the filmmakers who created, Second Skin, a documentary about MMORPG players.

Back at Mahalo HQ in sunny Santa Monica, the News Team covered the resignation of NY Governor, Eliot Spitzer, after he admitted to having a relationship with prostitute, Ashley Alexandra Dupre. Spitzer will be succeeded by Lt. Governor, David Paterson.

The Video Game Team stayed up all night following the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and built pages for Super Smash Bros Brawl Walkthroughs, Unlockable Characters, Unlockable Stages, and Cheat Codes. They also figured out how to unlock the character Snake and make him receive funny Codecs during gameplay. Oh, and did I mention that you can watch the Video Game Team play Super Smash Bros. Brawl live on Ustream.tv? Well you can!

Finally, the How To Team educated themselves on a wide variety of topics this week. They built pages about Getting into College, Potty Training Puppies, Freezing you Credit Reports, Drawing Manga, and Buying Land on the Moon!
