How to Add Mahalo to Your Firefox Search Bar

A few people have asked us if it’s possible to add Mahalo to the Firefox search bar. It’s possible and easy. Here’s how:

Step 1: Go to the Mahalo Homepage and click on the logo in the search bar

Step 2: Click on “Mahalo (English)” in the drop down

Step 3: Mahalo will now be the default search engine in the search bar

    I hadn’t realized Firefox had made adding search engines so easy.

    Search Mahalo from your URL bar as well.

    Go to the Mahalo Main Page. Right click in the Mahalo search box and select “Add a Keyword for this Search…” In the Add Bookmark window, add a name and a keyword and click OK.

    From now on, if you type into your URL bar: keyword search_term Firefox will go immediately to the Mahalo search for that term.
